2012 WM Phoenix Open kicks off

SCOTTSDALE, Arizona - PGA TOUR stars Aaron Baddeley, Rickie Fowler and Chad Campbell along with Arizona Cardinals’ Head Coach Ken Whisenhunt, Diamondbacks pitcher Ian Kennedy, Diamondback infielder Willie Bloomquist, former Diamondback Luis Gonzalez and former Phoenix Suns star Tom Chambers will headline the CBS Outdoor Special Olympics Open at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 31 at the 2012 Waste Management Phoenix Open.
Other participating celebrities/sports stars include Arizona Diamondbacks television play-by-play voice Daron Sutton and color commentator Mark Grace.
The Waste Management Phoenix Open will be played January 30 – February 5, 2012, at the TPC Scottsdale. The tournament host Thunderbirds have raised more than $75 million for charities, with more than $45 million generated since 2004.
The 2012 edition will mark the 77th playing of the event, making it one of the five oldest events on the PGA TOUR (not including the major championships).
