Alleged Terrorists discovered in Aztec

San Juan County, NM – Early Thursday morning, the Farmington Police Department received information that individuals may be in possession of bombs or bomb making materials. Farmington Police shared this information with the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office and an investigation was started.
That is when the San Juan County Special Enforcement Team went to a house in Aztec, NM. They received permission from the owner of the home to enter the house where bomb making materials and drug paraphernalia were found.
A search warrant was then obtained for the residence and a live device was later found in the residence. The owner of the home is not being charged, however the following individuals were arrested: Crystal Garzes, age 32 of Aztec NM and Dayson Sharp, age 35 of Aztec NM.
the two man were booked into the San Juan County detention Center and charged with engaging in terroristic Activity – 4th degree Felony, Possession of Explosives – 4th degree Felony, Possession of an Explosive or Incendiary Device – 4th degree Felony, Conspiracy (Possession of Explosives ) – 4th degree Felony, Possession of a Dangerous Drug – 4th degree Felony, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Misdemeanor.
