Weekend gang shoot out leaves 14 injured

Weekly Edition | March 5, 2012 | By: Editor

Tempe, Ariz – Late Friday, The Clubhouse, at 1320 E. Broadway in Tempe got what one would not expect when gang members open fire on rivals wounding club goers leaving 14 injured and unanswered questions. Witnesses describe the gang members as “two dark-clad men”.

Police say shoot outs with Rapper Nipsey Hussle concert are common and leave police in question, if this is tied to a recent shooting in Los Angeles.

But Hussle decried the allegations “I never glorify any situation like this and think it is disgusting. Any fan of my music knows that I strongly oppose gun violence and that I represent nothing but peace and progress through hard work,” said Hussle, described in published reports as a self-proclaimed member of the Crip street gang in a interview with the Arizona Republic.

As the investigation continues, Tempe Police are asking anyone with information about the shooters is encouraged to call the Tempe Police Department at 480-350-8311 or Silent Witness at 480-948-6377. The 14 injured people are expected to recover.
