Obama Healthcare: Justices seemed sharply critical on the overhaul

Weekly Edition | March 27th | By: NP-staff

The focus, individual mandate

Washington, D.C. - Conservative News Talk Radio stations across the country are talking about President Obama controversial healthcare bill. On March 27th, The Supreme Court will reconvene the case at 10 a.m.

In Phoenix, AZ 550 KFYI The Barry Young Show said ‘we don’t have to abide by this federal mandate’  adding ‘there is no limiting principal with Obama care’

The Supreme Court’s conservative justices seemed sharply critical on Tuesday morning, USA Today reported. President Obama Healthcare bill will be a requirement that all Americans purchase health insurance, it’s a constitutional question about the healthcare overhaul.

Four conservatives justices expressed reservations that ‘the mandate could significantly alter the powers of the federal government’, the liberal justices were silent.  The highest court swing vote, Justice Anthony Kennedy said Tuesday that the law “changes the relationship of the federal government to the individual in a very fundamental way,”

Obama lawyer, Solicitor General Donald Verilli, was pressed on why the insurance requirement wouldn’t leave Congress with ‘nearly limitless authority’. Legal experts say the Justice should have a verdict  in June.
