Farmington probation officer faces criminal charges

Farmington, NM – A former supervisor of the Farmington probation and parole office is faces mandatory time in federal prison following a plea agreement with the federal government, the Daily times reported.
Larry Franco, 57, who was a former law enforcement officer in Neveda is being charged with having photographs of minors ‘engaged in sexually explicit conduct’ on April 27 at a plea hearing in Albuquerque, U.S. Attorney Kenneth Gonzales said in a prepared release.
The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and other law enforcement agencies from Farmington were investigating Franco for one month before the arrest was made. According to state records, Franco had illegal images and videos of children on his computer. He will appear in Federal court, April 27.
