Street Gangster threatens cop, now on the loose
On May 4, 2012, an Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in Casa Grande.
During the stop, the passenger became uncooperative with the officer. It was determined that the passenger, identified as Hector Lopez, had three outstanding misdemeanor warrants out of Pinal and Maricopa counties.
Lopez was arrested and transported for booking.
During the booking process, Lopez stated to officers that he was terminally ill and had “nothing to lose”.
Lopez made several threatening statements to officers, indicating he would not go down without a fight and would teach officers a lesson.
Lopez was bonded out before a felony warrant was issued.
Lopez is a documented member of a criminal street gang and is considered to be armed and dangerous, DPS and GIITEM detectives are asking for any information or tips that will lead to the successful capture of Lopez.
Arizona DPS says, do not attempt to approach Lopez, call 911.
