NP News Brief | May 30

PHOENIX- On May 28, 2012, at 11:05 p.m. Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) said a three-vehicle fatal collision on southbound Interstate 17 killed a 17 year old mesa girl, Olivia Wilson who just graduated from High School.

A green Nissan Van was traveling wrong way when it struck a white Toyota, that was traveling southbound, head on killing both drivers. After the initial collision, the white Toyota was struck by another unknown vehicle. The passenger inside the white Toyota was transported to a local hospital with unspecified injuries, she was identified as Rhianna Valle, 17.

DPS continues to investigate this collision and has not ruled out alcohol as a factor of the collision. Please note that these investigations can take a significant amount of time to reach resolution because of many different factors and the extensive work by DPS Detectives.
