WINDOW ROCK – On Friday, June 22 Navajo Entrepreneurs joined the Navajo Chamber of Commerce to celebrate it’s one year anniversary. The Chamber had a live band, guest speakers, and food to talk about business.

The event was hosted by Navajo Chamber of Commerce President, Cal Nez he said he hopes the networking session was helpful to many Navajo Businesses, the event was sponsored by several companies from Gallup and surrounding areas of the Navajo reservation.

“I want you to exchange business cards and say hi, I’m a Navajo Business owner, let’s partner, lets do business” said Cal to the crowd of entrepreneurs, as he encouraged them to drive on and never give up. Many small business owners traveled from Phoenix, Gallup, Farmington, and local communities from the Navajo Nation.

Jeff Begay, of Phoenix from Kitchell Construction said he came out to Network and enjoy the company of others. While the food was great, the speakers inspired the Navajo business owners, by encouraging them to drive forward and learn more to build the Navajo Nation with Free Enterprise.

Overall, the event was great and Nez hopes in the future the Chamber will gain more steam in membership and sponsors. Currently, the Chamber is encouraging Navajo officials to work on the Navajo Business Opportunity Act, which is a law that will help the Navajo Entrepreneurs with growing a business or in bidding opportunities with the Tribe on the reservation.

So can any of you recommend a good product? I just sanded my 4 year aged cedar deck thoroughly the wood looks gorgeous and I would like to stain it now but with the many reviews i don’t know which product to use. The deck gets loads of sun in summer and rain within the winter months (Seattle). Thanks for your input
