PHOENIX - Anytime you need home repairs, we think of Home Depot- not for two men who tried to rob a Home Depot employee in the northwest Valley Friday, Phoenix police say the two men threatened the employee with an ax.
They are facing multiple felony charges, the valley robbers were identified as 27-year-old Kyle Gustav Book and 23-year-old Michael Powers. They also stole a car and ran from police.
The shoplifter was identified as Book, who threatened the employee before jumping into Powers car. Officers who had responded to the scene tried to stop the car, but the pair fled. Police used a helicopter to track them and soon after arrested them.
