The Newly elected Yavapai-Apache Nation Tribal Council Members Lorna Hazelwood, Monica Marquez and Robin Hazelwood will be sworn into office Thursday, Sept. 27, in the Yavapai-Apache Nation Council Chambers at 8 a.m, said a Apache Tribal press release.

The three will be replacing outgoing council members Linda Evans, Buddy Rocha Sr., and Steven Doungeva.

Lorna Hazelwood won the Sept. 15 Yavapai-Apache Nation General Election with 134 votes, Monica Marquez took 2nd with 119 votes and Robin Hazelwood filled the last seat with 98 votes.

The three council members will serve three year terms from 2012 to 2015.
