Cellular One’s Live Connected Community Hero Award Oct 2012 Llewellyn Badoni – Pinon, Navajo Nation (Ariz)

PINON, AZ — Pinon resident Llewellyn Badoni wins Hero Award.  Badoni was nominated by employees Leidawn Bizahalonie and Allena Kescoli. Cellular One kicked off their Live Connected Community Hero Award

In their nomination they wrote, “We are happy to nominate Llewellyn Badoni as our local hero of Pinon. He works as a security officer.  He doesn’t have any type of transportation, but all day he walks up and down watching everyone.  If there is any sign of danger or disturbance he is here to make sure we are protected and secure.  We think that makes him a super hero for this little town we call Pinon.”

Badoni serves as a security guard for five local Pinon stores in addition to the Cellular One store in Pinon: Bashas, Subway, Pizza Edge, Conoco, and the laundry mat.   He was extremely touched to receive the Live Connected Community Hero Award and $500 check from Cellular One.  He said, “I am surprised and ecstatic!  This was certainly unexpected.  I have never received an award like this, but I am very thankful.”

This special award and donation from Cellular One is part of an on-going community initiative launched in conjunction with the June 2012 debut of its new brand message: Live Connected.  The Live Connected Community Hero Award gives Cellular One employees the opportunity to nominate, recognize and reward local heroes who make a positive impact in their community.
