Window Rock – Shiprock JROTC practices rappeling in Window Rock, AZ.  Major Rail, JROTC instructor, says they come down to Window Rock twice a year.

Aldean Lee is a Senior at Shiprock High School. When asked about his post high school plans, he asnwers excitedly about becoming a fireman, either studying in Phoenix or at San Juan College.  He joined JROTC becuase it offers training that could be beneficial for a future fire fighter.  Aldean says he likes being a positive role model.
Shane Price, a junior at SHS says,”The JROTC is cool program, and all mid schools and high schools should have JROTC.”
Other JROTC students also mentioned that they like the discipline it offers and it makes their parents proud.  Many of the those in JROTC have family members serving in the military, or have had family members serve.
