Navajo Casino Boss to Step Down

WINDOW ROCK – Robert Winter, the CEO of the Navajo Gaming Enterprise is stepping down from the Casino organization at the end of the year, but will remain as a consultant, reported the Navajo Times.

Derrick Watchmen, a Navajo banker will be the new CEO of the Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise, it was always his plan to let a Navajo lead, said Winter. The Board learned that he was leaving and Winter told the Times he is going back to New Jersey.

Recently, the state of Arizona reported that Tribal Casinos brought in extra revenue for the state and contribute to the Arizona economy.
