A Navajo community cleans up on earth day

SHIPROCK – On April 22, thousands of Americans took the time to clean up, as for the Navajo people they just did that. In northern New Mexico people gathered to pick up trash throughout San Juan County.

According to Raymond Keswood, the local community, schools, Shiprock High School, Career Prep, Tse bi tai Middle School, Northwest High School, Atsa bi yazh Elementary, local law enforcement agencies, NTUA, Navajo Nation Departments all took the time to tidy up the small community of Shiprock.

The Earth Day community clean up was organized by Shiprock Chapter.
