TEMPE: Suspicious gold box rocks police and residence

TEMPE, Ariz. – Local law enforcement officials responded to a gold box with a white question mark Friday afternoon, residence say they saw the box and called police.

The incident occurred on Rural Rd. and Apache.

With the recent terror attacks in Boston, people seem to be more vigilant and small things become escalated. According to Tempe PD spokes woman Molly Enright, she said “Nothing of concern was in the cardboard box,”and even residence called it a sick prank.

Jen Trask told ABC15, “I’m glad that it was probably some messed up person that was trying to scare everyone instead of a real thing but that shows you it can happen anywhere,” she said on TV.
